About us

We have joined our traveling experiences into a young Venezuelan company, being our main objective to introduce and show Venezuela and South America from a different point of view. As locals and travelers that we are and have been we are willing to do our best to bring you closer to the Venezuelan nature, wildlife, culture, gastronomy and the country itself with all of its beauty. If you are keen to get familiar to different cultures and customs, adventures, nature, wildlife... then you are the right person to travel with us. So join us, as an ecotourist to explore all the beauties and wonders Venezuela and South America has to offer. Our trips are especially designed for those travelers who would like to escape for a few weeks from the urban world to explore nature, wildlife in adventurous and dynamic way. Our organization and programs are designed for people who love adventure and dare to travel a bit further, but their lifestyles doesn't allow them the realization of such a trip by themselves, especially to be carried out in shorter periods of time. Dynamic organization and flexibility are our advantages. We offer different programs and also give you the opportunity to help us preparing the program that better suits your needs.

Fabricio Mosegue Hidalgo

Is the founder of Araguato Expeditions and the person, who in most of the cases will be in charge of showing you Venezuela at its best. Before moving to Europe, he studied history in Merida, Venezuela and most of his time he spent as a guide of ecotourism. Among other work, he was a guide for wildlife observation safaris to Los Llanos, Catatumbo and the Caribbean coasts and islands with eight years of experience. He also worked as an organizer, translator, guide and assistant in international academic study programs for American universities. From the year 2000 he is living between Slovenia and Venezuela. He is interested in many things, beside the work and his studies of History and Spanish literature in the Faculty of Art at the university of Ljubljana in Slovenia; he loves adrenaline traveling and exploring new places. He has great pleasure organizing trips around Venezuela where he can show his country to the people that are interested in it. He loves nature, sports and literature. In general he is an open, enthusiastic person with great passion for life, cheerful and kind. On his free time he loves snowboarding, mountain biking and running. Native in Spanish language and fluent in Slovene, English and Italian. Under his guiding you will explore the real Venezuela!

Adrijana Mandl

Her adventurous spirit and great passion for traveling was pointed out in her youth, when she traveled all over Europe alone with her childhood friend. After she became a student of Economy, she started to travel out of Europe for long periods in most of the continents (SE Asia, India, Nepal, Japan, South America, USA) She lived in Japan and in Venezuela for few months as well. Venezuela got into her blood so she got attached to it. In Venezuela every time she has the opportunity goes exploring new places and does anthropological field work. At the moment she is preparing to start writing her thesis for her master of Anthropology. She loves the nature, animals and likes to get into the forbidden tracks and places. Loves hiking, trekking in the mountains of the Himalayas as well as exploring the culture and places of mystical India, adrenaline safaris in Los Llanos and wild places of the tropical forests. Native in Slovenian language and fluent in English, Serb-Croatian as well as in Spanish. In Araguato Expedition she works with the organization and realization of programs and as a contact person. Occasionally she is a tour guide as well.

Leoncio Mosegue Hidalgo

Is the youngest member of our team. Beside the study of fishing engineering he is also very business orientated with great passion for traveling. He is living between Spain and Venezuela. He loves to explore his country and show its beauty to all the ecotourists. He works as a guide for Los Llanos and Paraguana. He loves mountain biking, water sports, wild life and exploring the sea fauna and flora. He is native in Spanish language and passive in English and German.

Olinto Dugarte
Olinto is a nice modest man, not too talkative but always with great smile on his face. He has 25 years of experience in transportation of adventure tours. He will be in charge of driving us safely and on time to all of our destinations. He is particularly experienced in off road driving, being his favorite route the one that takes to Los Nevados. He has been working with Fabricio for already 6 years.

Nicandro Gonzales & Family
Nicandro is a modest and a very nice man, a Cowboy from the Venezuelan plains, who has been running his camp in Los Llanos for many years. With his family he enjoys the rural 'Llanero' lifestyle in the middle of the Venezuelan savanna. With him and his family you will see how the simple life can give you a lot of happy moments, smiles and positive energy. In a nice basic natural habitant you will be introduced to Venezuelan largest reservoir of wildlife with the touch that can only be added by the locals.
